Setting Protection for Reports

Report protection allows you to distribute report layouts with your application, enable your users to customize or extend the layouts within constraints that you set at design time.

Protection settings include:

  • Restricting access to certain menu options.

  • Restricting access to the property dialog boxes of specific report elements.

  • Restricting the ability to resize bands.

  • Restricting the ability to move, edit, or delete report controls.
