SET BRSTATUS is included for backward compatibility.

SET BRSTATUS controls the display of the status bar when a Browse window is opened. The status bar displays the current drive, the active table, the record pointer position, the number of records in the table and the state of the Insert, Num Lock, and Caps Lock keys.

If the status bar is already displayed when you open a Browse window, it remains displayed.

ON
 The status bar is displayed at the bottom of the screen when a Browse window is opened if SET BRSTATUS is ON. If more than one Browse window has been opened, the status bar displays information for the active Browse window.

 In FoxPro for Windows and FoxPro for Macintosh, opening a Browse window displays the character status bar if the status bar is turned off.

OFF
 If SET BRSTATUS is OFF, the status bar isn't displayed when a Browse window is opened. This is the default setting.
